The Museum of Modern Art and PS1’s Young Architects Program (YAP) is in its 12th year—and it’s getting even grander. The competition is now going international with the launch of the YAP_MAXXI Young Architects Program in Europe. For the American program, which challenges emerging talent to design a temporary outdoor installation in PS1’s courtyard, Brooklyn-based Interboro Partners came out on top, while the first European winner, who’ll create an event space backdrop in the piazza of MAXXI in Rome, is stARTT.
