Architectural surface manufacturers Arpa and Trespa are encouraging New York designers to leave the office, forgo the taxi, emerge from the subway, and hit the city on foot. The sister companies will sponsor “Take It to the Streets” September 22-25, in conjunction with the 2010 ASID Design Week, as an opportunity to increase awareness of their products within the local interiors community.
Designers are invited to their recently revamped Design Centre for a breakfast on Friday, September 24th, followed by a presentation and forum on September 25th that will focus on the role of today’s shelter publications in a “Web 3.0 World.” Arpa will also raffle off two unique PeliDesign Clic chairs by Dutch-based designer, Alexander Pelikan.
Jim Palmer, general manager of Arpa USA says, “We are excited to show local Arpa/Trespa II and visiting designers what Arpa’s Italian-made surfaces—and the resources of our Design Centre—have to offer. What’s more, we look forward to hearing from the professionals who may use our products, as we consider their input to be invaluable.”
