7 W New York is poised to host the annual New York International Carpet Show September 11 through 13. Headlining the trade show’s Designer Day presentation is Interior Design’s own articles editor, Annie Block.
Block will moderate “Selecting the Right Carpet: From Contemporary to Classic to Custom” a dynamic panel discussion with interior designer and Hall of Famer Carl D’Aquino, rug designer Amy Helfand, and ASID interior and rug designer Pedro Lima.
The talented trio of experts, who have a wide range of experience in the carpet world, will offer the audience a lively look into their rich portfolios, discuss their carpet choices and creations, and chat about how their design decisions have enriched a variety of residential and commercial projects. Attendees can follow the discussion with a visit to the show and a complimentary tasting inspired by the carpets and regions on display.

My professional opinion on this piece is that this nothing less than a work of art.. The pile of the fabric reveals a rich texture as well as depth in blue hues.. The graphic white detail is beautifully organic and offers movement and visual interest without being extreme or busy.. I would definately suggest this piece to a client who wants a statement without consumption of focus..
