The north lobby of Chicago’s mammoth Merchandise Mart may seem like an unlikely place to live out one’s fantasies—but designers are doing just that now that the 7th annual Dream Home is in full swing.

On view through December 9, the must-see for NeoCon attendees features spaces by nine of the Windy City’s top designers: Buckingham Interiors + Design, Michael Del Piero Good Design, Scott Himmel Architects, Michael Abrams, Luca Lanzetta, Frank Ponterio Interior Design, Studio Snaidero, Lauren Coburn, and 1 Design Group.

Admission to the Dream Home, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is a $1 voluntary donation to the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation Women’s Board.

“We are very excited to partner with the Merchandise Mart in our efforts to fund pediatric cancer research, specifically neuroblastoma, a cancer found in very young children that affects part of the nervous system controlling heart rate, breathing, blood pressure and digestion,” says Dream Home co-chair Joan Crouch.

I like some of the designs, but not sure the others would work in reality, especially the chairs in the Office. However, I do like the colors and textures used, everything appears to flow very well. :)
