DIFFA believe in rock gala

DIFFA/Chicago (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS/Chicago) is cranking up the energy—and the volume—on the classic black-tie industry event by stripping away the cummerbunds and going rocker chic. The organization recently announced plans for its 23rd annual fete Believe Rock N Gala to be held the Saturday before NeoCon. Promising to be an epic night of food, music, and rock stars, DIFFA is launching the first ever ROCK ON! After Party headlined by Evan Dando and The Lemonheads and DJ Jesse De La Peña.

“We’re coming off such an emotional high after last year’s Gala, we intend to keep the momentum up and really rock out the night,” said Jennifer M. McGregor, chairman, DIFFA/Chicago. “We’re dedicating this evening to our incomparable fellows from the Northwestern Memorial Foundation Fellowship who, through their dedicated work and promising research, have shown us that finding a cure is a real possibility. Because of our rock-star Fellows, we won’t stop believing.”

Also making an appearance at the gala will be Stephanie Castagnier, former contestant on NBC’s “The Apprentice,” to share her story of losing both parents to AIDS and overcoming adversity before becoming a successful rock-star entrepreneur. Authentic rock and roll paraphernalia will be on display during the evening’s silent auction and the event will feature a live auction, as well.

Individual gala tickets are $500 each and all gala attendees are invited to the after party. For those who would like to join the after party only, individual tickets are available for $75. Visit diffachicago.org/believe to purchase tickets.
