Furniture behemoths Jasper Group and Jofco have successfully merged and initiated months of transitioning, completing a deal that was projected in the final quarter of 2012. The two Jasper, Indiana-based companies boast a combined 173 years of experience in the furniture industry.

The Jofco brand continues its own sales team, field sales representatives, and customer service within its new infrastructure. Jofco will also maintain its partnership in the U.S. with Italy’s second-largest manufacturer, office expert Frezza.

“We were very pleased with the findings from the discovery process,” says Mike Elliott, Jasper Group president and CEO. “Jofco will function as a wholly owned subsidiary of Jasper Group, retaining all previous and current avenues of distribution. We move into the transition phase now, which will include some corporate logistical changes, sharing of ideas, and cross-functional communication to drive the new corporate synergy.”

Jasper Group owns three other primary brands: JSI, furniture for business interiors; Community, furniture for public spaces; and Klem, furniture for hospitality. Jofco, now the fourth, will continue to provide design-driven furniture to the trade, including collaboration seating, desking, conferencing and case goods.
