Steven Stolman Named New President of Scalamandré
On July 25, legendary textile manufacturer Scalamandré will name luxury design professional Steven Stolman the new president of the brand.
A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Stolman has since served many important roles at celebrated design houses such as Valentino Studio, Pauline Trigere, and Albert Nipon. In 1993, he assisted in reviving the Lilly Pulitzer label, and, two years later, went on to open numerous boutiques, featuring his signature styles made from toile fabric. The whimsical combination of home decor fabrics for chic retail purposes and interior repurposing, captured the attention of the interior furnishing community. In 2008, his preppy-chic repertoire grew exponentially when Jack Rogers recruited him to reinvigorate and rebrand their 50 year-old footwear, apparel, and accessories company.
Now in their 82nd year, Scalamandré warmly welcomes Stolman’s visionary design and premium business approach as an accent to their rich heritage of uncompromising quality in fine design.
“I am thrilled to be joining Scalamandré in a leadership role,” says Stolman. “My love affair with this venerable house began early in my career, so for me personally, this is a dream come true that was decades in the making.”
