New York City lights up each May as thousands of designers, architects, retailers, and enthusiasts flock annually to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and the after-hours festivities each night following the tradeshow hustle. The four-day-long affair always manages to please, showcasing emerging innovators, hot new product finds, unmatched industry networking, and an endless supply of whistle-wetting cocktails. This year’s event definitely battled less-than-stellar weather, but the show managed to turn out some new stars and showcase classic talent.
Check out a few of our favorite pieces from last week’s 23rd annual ICFF.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Jonathan Adler stopped knocking off bad mid century modern designs and presenting them as something creative and new? Apparently the press is as uneducated as he is for showing this borax chair and sofa. The chair was originally sold with Mediterranean furniture in olive green velvet. The very fact that you chose to present it as a “find” shows your own personal lack of design history for the past 65 years. We expect better from this publication.

REALLY??? 100% agree with Robert Mark & JR!
Admittedly, I found this year’s ICFF to be quite lacking in ispiration. However, you could have done much better than this paltry selection. A clear acrylic crib?? Did anyone even think about a baby’s response to being in that thing??
Aimee Wilder and Tod Von Mertens were Interesting (great table we all liked).
