Rounding out its 60th anniversary year, Marimekko launched its first flagship store in New York’s Flatiron District this week. The Finnish textile manufacturer celebrated yesterday with a grand opening party that featured Finnish fare, live entertainment and, notably, print designer Erja Hirvi in the DJ booth. The company’s iconic branded patterns even graced the umbrellas and tablecloths arranged on tables scattered throughout the neighborhood’s open-air Broadway plaza.

The new store is located at 200 Fifth Avenue (next to Mario Batali’s Eataly) and features the full collection of Marimekko textiles, home accessories and fashion.
