It’s said to be the floor covering industry’s first mobile application that actually helps facilitate the design process—and Mannington Commercial has it.

The hard and soft surface floor covering manufacturer’s new app utilizes the integrated cameras and scanning technology of smart phones to interface with sample books. By simply scanning the bar code printed on a Mannington sample book, designers can immediately see coordinating patterns and colors from the company’s carpet and hard-surface collections.

Designers can also use the app to scan the bar codes of specific products to order samples immediately. Simultaneously, the app notifies the appropriate Mannington sales representative to follow up with the designer. The app is available on all iPhone, Android, and Blackberry phones.
