It may be Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, but fashion design isn’t the only game in town. Home decor is also in the spotlight at Bloomingdales with the launch of Diane von Furstenberg’s new DVF Home line. Additionally, the Star Lounge VIP space at Lincoln Center, the site of fashion week’s festivities, is currently decked out with the collection.

Featuring bold colors and intrepid patterns, the line is produced in partnership with Springs Global US. “There’s an incredible energy in what Diane does. The industry needs brands like this to bring excitement back into it, to re-engage the consumer and touch their emotions,” states Joe Granger, president of Springs Global.
The line marks the fashion designer’s first venture into the home decor industry, and includes bedding, tabletop, and home accessories that sport the brand’s signature colors and prints.

Fashion week comes to a close on February 17, but The DVF Home collection is available now, sold exclusively through Bloomingdales.

Spot on timing for the release of this colorful collection during the nadir of our winter and it’s somber tones.

I think Diane Von Furstenberg’s new Home collection is very right on. It is fun mixing prints, solids and shapes and can appeal to many cultural backgrounds, both eastern and western. I just returned from Japan and can see it selling there. The new shape of her plate is particularly appealing for certain foods.
