Kravet Acquires Brunschwig & Fils

It’s official: Kravet has acquired prestigious fabric house Brunschwig & Fils, making Kravet an even bigger powerhouse of to-the-trade home furnishings and textiles. Known for its French heritage, Brunschwig produces designs from both modern and historical eras, including some that are more than 200 years old and still made today on the same looms that were used for Louis XIV in the 18th century.
Just as Brunschwig & Fils has a rich history dating back to 1900, the family-run Kravet, too, boasts almost a century of experience and leadership in the industry, making it ever determined to maintain the integrity of the Brunschwig brand. The plan is to continue marketing and distributing the products to the interior design community under its brand name, while also developing new Brunschwig products, as well as new relationships.
While it’s still transitioning to the new ownership, Brunschwig & Fils has already moved its headquarters to the Kravet campus in Bethpage, New York. Among some of the other renowned brands Kravet has acquired are Lee Jofa and GP&J Baker. Kravet also creates its own textile designs, as well as upholstered furniture.
