Tom Dixon’s U.S. Showroom Opens in NY Landmark

Tom Dixon’s first U.S. showroom shows off its historic brick arches and early 20th-century pine floors.
Downtown New York is abuzz with news of British designer Tom Dixon’s long-awaited U.S. showroom, now open in the landmark 1874 Brooks Brothers building in NoHo. A full range of lighting, furniture and accessories is available by appointment only on the fifth floor, with a stateside staff on hand for product training.
The 1,200-square-foot new space is “just a stone’s throw from the Bleecker Street Theatre,” says Tom Dixon, “which we transformed into [the pop-up show] London Underground for New York Design Week last year.”

The space is, Dixon says, “our first toehold in New York,” offering the latest collections and staff suggestions.
“We wanted,” Dixon says, “to create a space in New York where our clients and architect and designer friends over the pond could come to get a taste of how we run things at our secret lair in London.”

Hi, I’m an interior designer and I’ve been a Tom Dixon fan for quite some time now. I love the way how he creates such simple yet innovative and designful pieces. I recently discovered a Portuguese furniture brand that fits perfectly with some of his projects… Boca do Lobo, have your ever heard about it ? Check out this lovely table…

What do you think about it ? Placing it under some of Tom’s copper pendants would be a perfect matchup! I’m thinking about using it on my next project. Keep up with those useful posts! Congrats on the blog !
