Global hoteliers Ritz-Carlton have just completed work on the chain’s new Hong Kong location, situated inside the 118-story International Commerce Center (ICC) in the West Kowloon district. The hotel, with interiors by Singapore-based LTW Design Works, will occupy the uppermost sixteen stories of the ICC, which was designed by American firm Kohn Pedersen Fox and completed last year.

The 312-room hotel takes full advantage of its world-record height: highlights include a glass-enclosed infinity pool and an outdoor terrace with wrap-around windows, both of them located on the 118th floor (and definitely not for the faint of heart).

Nearly a third-of-a-mile high, the ICC is a new and prominent fixture of the Hong Kong skyline, a simple silver bolt that tapers lightly toward the top and bottom. The majority of the interior is occupied by high-end corporate offices; the hotel now lodged above them will not be, notably, the tallest hotel in the world, only the highest-up: the Rose Rayhaan in Dubai holds the former title, clocking in at 72 floors.

In case you had not see or heard about this, I thought you might find this interesting. Brenda and her brother went therefor drinks and dinner on the 18th floor of the hotel two weeks ago when she was in Hong Kong.
The building is located in an area called Kowlon West (on land fill, so what’s new)”down the road and around the corner” from where you lifed(which as you know, doesn’t exist anymore).
    Boy we’re really dating ourselves.
